Wow, I'm so sorry I've been such a bad blogger. I remember the days in Texas when I wanted to post so often that I more than one entry each day! I'm sorry, I hope you can understand that my life has been crazy lately. Definitely a super-awesome-great crazy. Bella is going through a huge transition right now. I have found a new space for the studio and warehouse that the company is currently in the middle of moving to. It's going to be great when it's all finished but, trust me, nothing gets done without a lot of blood. sweat. more sweat. and tears.

Little Mio Mio is getting quite acquainted with the new Bella studio...

I wish I could take 5 hour naps...ahhhh a dog's life!

That said, I did have a great Fourth of July weekend. I forced myself to stop working and took some traditional annual family time. As always, we we went to Veteran's Park to see the fireworks on the third. This is the first year Steve was able to come, so we had a great time picnic-ing, telling stories, playing washers and watching the fireworks. The on the fourth we spent the day at Beaver lake. Just as always everyone was together as happy as can be.

A Fabulous Weekend

I was busy, busy, busy this weekend! It was a great weekend full of traveling, shopping, family and friends!
Friday night you could find me scrapbooking at The Scrapbook Store with Gail, Cheryl and Beth. Then Saturday Morgie and I took a day trip (even though we only thought we'd be gone for a couple hours) to IKEA! It was super fun and I bought so many fun things for a big surprise I will share with the world soon!

When Sunday rolled around the 80 degree blue skies were calling for a pool day! I didn't go in, but we had the family over to celebrate Anabelle's 10th birthday and also Father's Day. It was a great day for ladder gold, jarts, jumping on the trampoline, grilling out and enjoying some fresh air. Anabelle turned 10 while I was in Brasil, so we took her photos this weekend.

She's so grown up. Sassy & sweet all at the same time!

Then there's these 2. Carson just loves "Stevie boy." He talked his ear off and played baseball with him all afternoon!

Heidi's Back!!!

OMG! I am so happy to see this today!

Heidi Grace is back! I love her and was so disappointed when Fiskars decided to stop producing her product line. She is such an inspiration. Even more, she is a great person!

I can't wait to see what she has in store next! And I wish her all the success in the world! She has worked so hard and she totally deserves it!

Free Day in Brazil

So...the weather was crisp but the day was fabulous. We started out with a warm delish Nutella crepe. Then off to the top of the mountain to see the ever so famous Statue of Christ.

The view was unbelievable and the statue was so enormous. It was hard to believe that we were so far above the city. We could see everything from the top of the mountain including the jockey and futbol stadiums, the roads, beaches and islands.

Afterwards we window shopped, enjoyed some more fabulous food for lunch at a local French place.
Tomorrow is our last full day in Brazil. I'm so sad...

Finishing Up Creative Classes

Today we taught the final 2 creative classes in Rio. The students were so much fun and very excited to be a part of the special event.

The next 2 days we will have some free time to enjoy Rio. I hope the weather cooperates for our journey to the statue of the Christ and the "sugarloaf." While it has been very warm and very very humid here, it has been cloudly with scattered rain showers. Considering this is winter in Brazil, it's so beautiful. Anna has been a wonderful host while we've been here in Rio.

Update from Brazil

Wow.

That's all I can say about this experience so far. Jenna and I are so excited and honored to be here to meet these wonderful people. Marta is the store owner of the adorable shop in Porto Alegre. This was our first place to teach. The store is darling. Modern. Colorful. Clean.

Here are some photos taken during the classes. We've taught 5 different ones so far and everyone has loved them. The ladies are adorable and so excited.

And, after our very last workshoppe at this store Marta and her mother popped open a bottle of champagne to celebrate and I just was so overwhelmed by everyone's happiness that I started to cry when we were saying ciao ciao to the customers. I really hope we can return here to teach again and have a great relationship with these awesome awesome women.

This makes me so happy.

Today we arrived in Rio De Janeiro. Isn't it beautiful? The weather is much warmer here. We had a fabulous dinner and are now preparing and unpacking our bags for our workshops in the morning. Wish you were here!

Lots to do & Lots to Say

I've been definitely cheating on my blog with Facebook. I've decided to be better about Facebook since so many old friends and family are all a part of it. So if you ever miss me around here be sure to become my friend over there. This weekend we spent time at the lake with the fam. It was sunny and 70 degrees! Perfect for a BBQ and family fun. The girls were catching minnows all morning

while Carson and Maria played with the water and on the swings.

I also tried to attempt some cute summer pics with Carson when I babysat him over the weekend. Needless to say, 30 frames and a silly face later this is what I got!

A night out on the town was fun too. My first time playing Wii golf. Haha. We made it downtown and home safely!

The next couple of days will be busy ones and I prepare to leave for Brazil. Until I'm sitting on the airplane will I realize I'm actually going to Brazil. Jenna and I are going to have a blast, I know it! Now.....just what to pack!

He's A Homeowner!

As of May 8, 2009.
Steve is the proud owner of his very first home. I am so happy for him. We have been working hard getting everything moved in and in order. I'm so glad now he's only a couple miles away from where I live. I can see him in a matter of minutes whenever I'd like.

The closing went smoothly and the house keys are in hand. Steve and his "tenants" are all moved in. I'll share some before and after pictures soon...as soon as the after pictures are ready! :)

A Date & A Big Day

Steve and I haven't been to a wedding in quite some time, so it was a nice date when we went to Andy's wedding recently.

It was a great night of food, drinks, dancing and meeting new people.

I sat at the table with the boys (Mike, Jeremy, Kevin, Mike and Rob & their dates).

Steve looked so handsome! I just love when he gets all dressed up in a tie...because it sure is a rare occasion....I just LOVE it. Speaking of which....today he will be lookin' all handsome again because he is closing on his very first brand new house! So excited for him! I'm going to meet him after he signs all the paperwork so that I can take some photos of him in front of his new address! He's letting me help decorate....so cool, and right up my alley! So I'll be painting the weekend away! We picked out colors for the house a couple weeks back and will be picking it up tonight.....lot's of work ahead of us, but I know it will all be worth it! I can't wait until one day we can live in this house together! Just the 2 of us.

I think Spring is finally approaching, for real! Easter weekend was, in one word, enjoyable. The weather cooperated for the first time in years. The kids were actually able to hunt for Easter eggs outside without wearing huge bulky winter coats or rain jackets and boots! Easter is yet another excuse for me to make cupcakes! Oh how I love them! (Mostly how cute they are. I think I ate 2 over the weekend!)

An Easter dinner, an egg hunt outside and inside, and plenty of Easter baskets from Auntie Stephie were in full action on Saturday.

Easter Sunday included a beautiful church service with Uncle Gary playing the drums alongside the choir singing, the hand bells and the kids singing too! It was beautiful! Lunch at Aunt Sue's followed with more egg hunts, candy, and family fun.

(these 2 are inseparable. Carson just loves playing with Steve and telling him stories!)

Life Happens.

If that isn't the truth I don't know what is. And when life happens, at least lately, this is what it looks like right now! My bedroom is feeling the brunt of life. While I spend day after day keeping other spaces clean, my poor bedroom has been neglected.

So over the weekend I decided enough is enough. It only took a couple hours and I feel so much better looking and sleeping here.

I've been searching for a long and skinny window basket for a long time now and *finally* found one! I want it to hold all my misc. odd-sized mini albums. (This is an idea I got from Ali Edwards a long time back!)
While I was in the spirit of organizing and cleaning I thought I would finally take my mom up on her offer to decorate her bathroom. Her and my dad recently replaced the old linoleum flooring with beautiful tile.

My mom gave me a budget and I had a ball! (Isn't it always great to spend someone else's money! haha) So I went to my most favorte store, Marshall's/Homegoods. I love the random decor findings and the great prices.
So I got this beautiful mirror for only $30...and the cute frames of course to add some family to the scene.

Also, I *had to add* a wall vinyl! I bought this one at Kohl's. Isn't it the cutest!? And it was so easy to apply.

(PS - I haven't scheduled my Uppercase Living party yet and will be sure to let you know when I do)

Lastly, over the weekend we celebrated a huge birthday! Nana's 75!

Isn't she beautiful? Lots of quality time with family and kiddos catching up, playing capture the flag, and eating ice cream cake!

Yikes, It's Been A Month!

I apologize for focusing so much of my blogging energy on Bella Bvd's Studio Blog. I need to find a balance, that's for sure. I'm trying......

This weekend Steve's Godchild, Berlyn, turned 3!! She is the cutest, sassiest little thing! All dressed up for the occasion in her daisy dress!

I was ever-so-quickly reminded why Chuck E' Cheese is not my favorite place in the world! The cheesy pizza smell combined with the mixture of body odors and little childrens' sweat hit me as I walked in the door. Suddenly I wasn't so hungry. Not to mention the 5,000 people cramped in the birthday room, all celebrating birthday parties for little ones. Chuck E' Cheese made a 2 minute appearance, literally. Poor Berlyn barely got a photo with him.

I mean, how can one man dressed up in a mouse costume be in the birthday room for only 2 minutes and possibly get to each and every birthday table to see the honored birthday guest?! It sure is crazy the amount of money we pay for our little ones to have a happy, unforgettable day. After rushing through gifts and being kicked out of our table for the next round of birthday party reservations, we moved to a small booth and relaxed while the kids played. The little kids.....
and the big kids....

ha, I love that man! boy...whatever he is! He had a good time in this "fighter" plan shootin' up the bad guys and shooting hoops with Riley and Evan.
Besides the craziness that is Chuck E' Cheese, it was a great way to spend a rainy day. Berlyn actually sat with "Stevie" and I for a quick picture! What a doll!

Hello February

It's one of my favorite months! Filled with chocolates, Resees hearts, pink and red roses, love, snuggles, hugs and more - it just doesn't get better than that! I just love all the *pink* goodness in all the local shops.

Instead of apologizing for my lack of posts, I'm going to catch you up and fill you in. January was full of deadlines and preparations for Bella Blvd's very first trade show exhibition with the Craft and Hobby Association. It was a huge success! As a result, my life has transitioned very quickly from designer to inventory control and shipping! Oh.....the joys of owning a small business. It's all so exciting that at night when I say my prayers before I fall asleep I think about how all of this started and where Bella Blvd is now compared to 5 months ago. God does wonderful things, and I have faith in him, even through this economy, to carry out His plans for me, no matter what they may be.

While I was in Califnornia I cannot even express to you how much I missed this little guy.

My little Mio Mio. All I had to hold on to (literally) was a photo of him on the wallpaper of my cell phone. I missed his little face, and snuggle-ly kisses everyday. He always makes me happy!

Amongst all the craziness, I have been able to get together with my favorite girls for late nights of scrapbooking, story telling, snacks and laughs. I just finished assembling my first album for the year 2008! Wha-hoo! I love finishing an album. No, I haven't finished the full year yet, but I'm well on my way. Here are some of the last layouts:

-25 degrees by Wednesday they say! Today is the warmest it is supposed to be all week, and it's only 17! They are talking about canceling schools because the wind-chills are too dangerous. They say it is supposed to be colder than it has been in the past decade. Not to mention 5" of snow on the way tonight! Yikes! Gotta have lots of fire and hot chocolate this week for sure.

Onto more happy things....Angela's 28th birthday is today! We celebrated last night with a big family dinner and get-together. This might be one of the silliest photos of Angela and the kids! Gotta love 'em!

Carson just loves Steve. They played 'Bag Guys' and catch all night long!

December Daily Highlights

I've finally found the time to put together my December Daily album. Throughout December, I took my photos and wrote in my journal at night before going to bed. And just this last weekend I was able to print all my photos and put it together! I loved the project, however, I definitely under estimated the amount of time and work it would take!

It turned out even thicker than I anticipated ... so I have to purchase some larger rings for the binding.

I was super busy this month with Bella Blvd. We had 2 great events at independent scrapbook stores. This night was great at Stamper's Cupboard in Mukwonago.

Coaching my neices basketball team has been a blast so far too! We won our 3rd game on December 11th!

And the annual cookie exchange was a success!

And don't let anyone ever tell you that you're too old to sit on Santa's lap!

And because I wanted to document the entire month of December, this was my quick "cheater" way to get the last days of the month down and finished!

What a wonderful Christmas.

Our Christmas Eve was beautiful. Just as tradition has it. The children's program is such an awesome service! Anabelle and Madelyn were great!

On Christmas Day, the Evergreen tree filled the room with the best scent ever! The sun was out, and the ground was full of mounds and mounds of endless snow!

Steve and I were able to spend the holidays together, enjoying each other's families.

I'm always sad when it's over and can't help but look forward to it all again next year.
The day after Christmas Mrs. Smokey treated the "girlfriends" to lunch and then we went to see this super **adorable** movie.

OMG, I cried my eyes out, and the lady next to me was weeping! She couldn't control her breathing. It's always a blast seeing a movie when the theater if full! I highly recommend this movie for anyone that owns a dog! Just bring a box of kleenex with you!
Steve spoiled me rotten this year. He upgraded my camera...

I haven't stopped playing with it for 3 days now. I'm actually scared of it's power and how cool it is! I haven't had a brand new camera in years!

A white and sparkly birthday

Because the snowstorm kept me home on Friday, we tried going out on Saturday night. But more snow kept us close to home. Steve took me to The Cheesecake Factory for dinner, and afterwards we had planned to spend the night downtown. But 5 more inches of snow was falling, so we decided to stay local instead. We spent the night at Grainger's bar in Greenfield. Thank you to everyone who came out to have a good time with us!

Oh, the weather outside is frightful

It's a snowday! For nearly everyone in Southeastern Wisconsin! 10" and counting to be exact at our door step! What a great birthday present! Everyone is off of work and snowed in, and is here spending my birthday with me! It's very cool. The streets are horrendous, so we plan to stay in and watch Christmas movies today, wrap Christmas presents and more. Even if we wanted to go somewhere, we couldn't. The plow hasn't come to the end of our road and we couldn't even get our cars through it if we wanted to. Here's a photo before the snow-blowing. There is usually a walkway there up to our front door.

And here it is after the snow blower cleaned up. You can see how much snow we actually got.

Welcome winter!
We beat the snow storm last night and went out to dinner with the family for my birthday. Maggiano's Little Italy had some beautiful Christmas decor.

Everyone sang Happy Birthday as they brought out the lemon-frosted Italian cookies.

The Holidays are quickly approaching.
I stayed up late over the weekend....baking dozens of cookies (9 to be exact) for our annual cookie exchange with Steve's mom, friends and family. I chose the easy, good o' fashioned chocolate chip!

We met on Sunday morning for a super yummy brunch where we exchanged the treats.

The weekend also included a trip to Madison for a Bella Blvd event, and lots of creating on Sunday. I'm so thankful to those people near and dear to me for always helping and being there during these very busy busy times! You know who you are, I love you!
I'm also trying to record my daily activities, and photograph nearly every single day so that soon enough I can put together my December Daily album inspired by Ali Edwards. I put the book basics together back in November, and just need to add my photos and journaling thoughts. I can't wait to show it off soon!

Winter Wonderland...

Lots of snow falling this past week...it's finally getting me in the winter mood.

Dad's been out nearly everynight in his hunting gear cleaning up the mess,

while I finally dug out my winter clothes bin and re-organized my closet. I've since realized that I have a major obsession with jeans. Yikes.
They do keep me warm though ;)

And this little guy, loves heat in any way shape or form. Whenever we turn on the fire place he sits right in front. Whenever we pop the front door open he sits in the pathway of the direct light....it's so stinkin' cute!

I got lots of Christmas shopping done yesterday. How about you? Have you started?

Good morning Winter...

About 8 inches of snow fell last night. Our first official accumulation. We've had a couple small snowfalls in November but nothing sufficient. Winter is officially here. Isn't it beautiful?

How was your Thanksgiving? It was wonderful to be home again for the holiday this year. Last year I didn't fly home and came for Christmas instead. On Thanksgiving Thursday we celebrated with the Hunt's at my Aunt Dawn's who always makes the most delicious traditional meal. Here's a shot of me and the girls awaiting the great food....

I was also able to celebrate with Steve's family on Thursday night as well. I was much too full to eat a second meal, but we watched movies and spent time with his family.
And on Saturday afternoon into evening we celebrated with the Plastino family at my Aunt Chaya's home. The table was so beautiful, as always, I just love how it sets a mood. Isn't it enchanting?

Lastly, I just wanted to share my 2 favorite photos I took from Madelyn's 7-year-old portraits. Isn't she a doll! (she is super obsessed with her fashionably gold Hannah Montana jacket!)

Where has November gone?

I don't know.
Life seems to be passing me by these days. My family continues to make me smile everyday.
I remember when I started this journey that my family promised to be there for me. Little did I realize how much I would truly need them.

In addition to my family, Steve has been the most amazing boyfriend. Last night he treated me to dinner at Maggiano's and while we were talking he said the sweetest thing he's ever said to me, "I prayed for you last night. I prayed that you wouldn't lose your faith." Little did I know how attractive my strong faith was to him. He cares so much about me. He doesn't ever want me to lose my passion and my faith for life, family and friends. It's far too easy to let pass you by. Lately it's been flying by right before my eyes and I haven't taken enough time to appreciate all the awesome things that have happened this month. It was Steve's words that re-charged me and my attitude. I'm ready for a new day. Thank you Steven, my love.

This month this little guy turned 2 years old! I can't believe it! Here's one of my favorites of the 2-year portraits I took of him.
And just last week my niece Madelyn turned 7! 7 years old! I can't wait to take her photos next week!
This month I began coaching a youth girls' basketball team. It's such an honor to be a part of their lives!

in Springfield. Elsie, Rachel and I went to a couple thrift stores last night on the hunt for vintage findings. I have been searching and searching all over for vintage ornate frames, large in scale for a special ongoing project that everyone will see come to fruition after the new year. While I was here I found 3!!!! It's so great!!! And I got them for such awesome deals. I took a photo of them this morning but will have to share the picture later seeing that I am sitting at the airport waiting for my flight to board. I'm inspired to keep on searching around home for more of them.

This old school hat totally reminds me of Nano. He wears them all the time. This super cute plaid one will match so many things! It's my favorite souvenir from this incredibly charming and cozy city of Springfield.

Rachel, it was so great to see you again! I wish we lived closer cuz you are such an awesome girl! And all my love to Elsie for your hospitality and warm pumpkin cider! I've got to start making it at home!

Elsie is a great host! Besides the fact that her place is super inspiring to someone like me, we have also talked for hours about art, our dreams and goals, boys and shopping. She is a great friend. I'm so thankful for her! After staying in touch with long distance friends over an extended period of time, it's quite a cool feeling to know that when we do finally get together it feels like no time has passed.

This week I've been working with Elsie and showing her how to go digital with some of her work. I think I can speak for the both of us when I say it has been a great experience. She's taken me to some great coffee shops with some *awesome* hot chocolate!

Warning: this is a warm fuzzy post about feelings :)

I have to admit, starting Bella Blvd has been a *huge* sacrifice and an unprecedented amount of work. While, I knew what I was in store for when the "big idea" hit me, one of my biggest fears and concerns was that I would, over time, lose my passion for the scrapbooking and photography hobbies. I didn't want to get so enthralled in deadlines and shows that I didn't have time for the fun weekends with my girlfriends, the girls nights with glasses of wine, family dinners and times that are so close to my heart.

Bella has been in business for nearly 4 months now and I am so proud to say that while I have a thousand things to get done every single day, that I have managed my time so that I can *usually fit everything in. If managing time sometimes means working until 3 or 4 am after going to a family birthday party during the day on a Saturday, then I'm willing to do that.

I guess the reason for the public post is two-fold:
1. To ask all my readers to help me never forget those things so near and dear to me. To my close friends, family and new scrapbooking and crafting readers, I ask that you help me stay focused on the true meaning of life. To me, that is to live every moment as is comes. For those that know me I am a worrier. I'm trying my hardest these days to let go of that and always be prepared for whatever comes my way. Here I go on another tangent...bare with me....this week I am out of town visiting my dear friend Elsie Flannigan. A couple of you might have heard of her! wink! wink! Elsie has already reminded me how to take one day at a time. She inspires me with all her hard work and dedication to her endless list of projects! I love that she is so carefree and happy.

2. The second reason for all my emotion today is seeing Bella Blvd products out there in real life, for sale! I posted today on the Studio Blog about online kits that are now up for sale in so many places. This feeling I feel is so indescribable. Seeing my designs and products for sale is SOOOOOOOO AWESOME! I really don't know how else to put it. When I see layouts and projects made with Bella products I get this awesome feeling in my stomach. It's just so cool. I know I am rambling now, but I just know that with God's help anything is possible and this entire endeavor is my proof of that. I am so so so thankful for the success of Bella and knowing that all this hard work and sacrifice is going to pay off. And by that I mean pay off with these overwhelming feelings of excitement and happiness.

had an art show last weekend, October 18, in Waterford. I decided to make a Girls Night Out and invited my sisters, aunt, mom, college friends, and close friends. We made dinner reservations and had a grand ol' time.

Jennifer was a class ahead of me at Cardinal Stritch. I always looked up to her. She always had the most awesome projects and presentations. Her and I turned out to be so much alike. Our passions are similar, the way we handle stressful situations is similar and we both seem to constantly set very high goals and expectations of ourselves. We work well under pressure. I know Jennifer put endless hours of time and care into each and every piece that was displayed.

On Sunday we celebrated Carson's 2nd birthday with the Plastino Family. Because of his recent love for cupcakes, which is really all about the frosting, I told Carson a couple weeks ago that I was going to make him "big huge cupcake" for his party at Auntie Chaya's house. He hasn't stopped talking about it ever since! So, this weekend when he finally got to see it, he couldn't control himself! He was so excited!
We put it in front of him and made him wait for us to take pictures before he could dive in.

Here's his first bite!!

Frosting was everywhere...including up his nose!

And then he figured out how to pick it up!

What a riot! He loves the Happy Birthday song and was so happy when we sung it for him. He's just starting to string short sentences together in his own little language that only mommy fully understands. He loves to say "cheese" for pictures. He's obsessed with Spiderman and shows us how he shoots his web. Trucks, cupcakes, playing with Sammy boy and Stevie boy are some of his other favorite things!
I love this little boy!
I only pray someday mine will be just as adorable!

Tonight a bunch of girls are off to Jen's Art Show in Waterford. This is a different Jen. Her and I met in college and have been friends ever since. She is seriously without-a-doubt the most talented illustrator that I know! I can't wait to see her work displayed and enjoy a nice dinner with some of my close friends and family! That's how he makes his #2 with his fingers! So funny! Using his pinky and his thumb like a rock-star!

Carson had a ball! This Monkey Joe's Place is just so perfect for him! He could run, jump and bounce around effortlessly all night long with his sisters! And since it was a week-night we had the whole place to ourselves!
He was so brave he even went on the biggest slides (with daddy!)

and when he got tired he took a little break and played some skiball!

Afterwards we went back to my sisters for cupcakes and presents.
It sure was a Spiderman birthday! Everything was Spiderman....even the cupcakes I made him!

OMG! I think he ate 4 of them! He made a wish and had Madelyn help him blow out his candles.

I'm not quite sure that he exactly understand what it means to have a "birthday!" Lots of cool stuff! Especially considering he will have 3 more family parties before it's all said and done! Little guy doesn't have a clue, but he's enjoying every minute of it!

75 Years

We celebrated Nano's birthday yesterday. Lunch, the Packer Game, jumping on the trampoline, presents, and cake! Nano is so many things to our family. The man is so strong, so hard-working and more loving than any other human being that I've ever met. And I am *not* just saying that. After 75 years he can proudly say he has 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, he's a cancer survivor, and another amazing little fact: he's never driven a car in his entire life. That's right....he walks and takes the bus everywhere he goes! (Part of the reason I believe he beat cancer, his amount of exercise and physical activity for a man of his age!)
This little guy also had a ball with plenty of people to play with! He slept really great last night!

Everyone but Carson joined in for the grandchildren's pyramid. Carson was terrified of mommy being on the bottom and thought she was getting hurt. He was screaming in the background!
but later his true personality came out. Carson, at almost 2 is such a ham. He has so many "tricks."

His latest is this.....

He thinks he's so funny!!!!!

Well, the Packers didn't pull if off this weekend, but my youth Hartland Chiefs did well! The game ended in a tie. Personally, I think they shouldn't leave the game at a tie. These boys are in 6th grade and they need to learn that drive to get it done, finsih the game, and win. It's a bummer that the league still allows ties. That's my cousin....the quarterback.

And we brought the little guy with us too! Ooooh, how I love spending time with him. I just can't get enough of his little face and his baby paws! He makes me so happy!

I've been very inspired lately. Lots of scrapbooking during my free-time. Getting together with my girlfriends to scrap always reminds me that I am doing the right thing in my life. While there is a huge amount of sacrifice to start Bella Blvd, I can't help but believe that it will all be worth it. It's so great to see people excited about the Bella Blvd products. Even better, it's so cool to hear from people that want to help in any way they can! To all my cherished friends, new and old (for lack of a abetter word) thank you again for making this journey so exciting.

This week has been work overload. I'm learning new things by research and training. By the end of the week I will definitely be ready for some relaxation by means of scrapbooking with some girlfriends over the weekend! Can't wait!

Sports Kick-off Weekend

Soccer, youth football, NFL.....so much happening in one weekend!

The weather cooperated nicely for Madelyn's very first soccer game! Check out how cute #5 is! She did an *awesome* job considering they have only had 3 practices so far. It brings me back to the days when I used to play soccer, what a fun sport and a great way to keep in shape!

After that, I headed out to West Bend for the Hartland Chiefs 5th and 6th grade boys football game. I am photographing their entire season this year. I'll be on the field every Saturday! Their first game was a victory! So cool to see these little guys growing up. My cousins are both on the team, #14-Spencer is the QB and #15 Ian is a wide receiver. Spencer actually threw one to Ian for a touchdown yesterday! It was sweet!

And like always, there's a ton of family in the stands supporting them. Including the little guy who already thinks he's ready to put his own helmet on and play like the big boys!

And today, at 12 noon my Favre in a green and white Jets jersey defeated the Miami Dolphins. That's what I like to see!

What a week! Lots has happened this week over at Bella Blvd including the web site launch! And I've even made some new friends just through my blog! So cool.

It's looking and feeling a lot more like Fall now....rainy and in the 50s today! Hard to believe is was 90 only two days ago. Ahh....you gotta love the Midwest!

A Weekend in the City

The Windy City, that is!
I drove down to Chicago to visit my dear friend, Tami.

We had worked together a while back down in Dallas. Ironically enough, we both moved back home on the same weekend! Since then, we've kept in touch.

Tami is a super talented designer. For the past year she has been concepting a greeting card line to call her own. She established the brand Tam Tam.

Over the weekend, Tami had her launch party at a beautiful stationary shop in Chicago. I traveled down to help her get everthing set up and assist her anyway I can. I'm so happy for her. The show was great! She sold a ton of cards and got a lot of exposure!

Tami-I'm so proud of you my "kitten." You deserve it all!

This month has been so very fulfilling and satisfying. I never thought I would be starting my own company. I never thought my family and friends would encourage this huge endeavor.

I feel so blessed over these past couple of weeks, more than ever before, that so many people have written in, commented on the Bella blog, and expressed their excitement and support. It is truly amazing. In addition to my scrapbooking pals and my immediate family, I have received emails from all around the world since the studio blog went live.

It's such an awesome feeling to know that there are people out there that I have never met in person, just as excited about this new scrapbooking company as I am. I must take a moment to soak it all in, and give God the glory. Every night before I fall asleep I thank God for each day and all the blessings: meeting new people, learning new things, and *so much more.

Thank you everyone for all your support. I feel so much richer.

And while I definitely should have known better not to go see it because I AM totally scared of scary movies and masks. (I've been like this since I was little ever since my dad made me watch Chuckie), I just really wanted to tough it out to see Heath's performance.

I won't ruin it in case you happen to be one of the few people that hasn't seen the film yet, but let's just put it this way.
I had to sleep-over at Steve's house, and have him snuggle me all night because every time I closed my eyes I saw the Joker's face with a knife. I'm *not kidding.

Some of you might find this humorous, but I'm dead serious. I will be scared of the dark for about a week. The totally appreciated the writing and the film. It was *awesome!

But like I said,
I should have known better.

Dachshund Races @ German Fest

Steve and I took little Smokey down to the festival grounds yesterday.

We wanted Smokey to race in the dog races, but with traffic and parking we were too late for registration. Total bummer.
So we paid our way in, and watched the races!

Every year at German Fest they have "Weiner Races" for the German breed of dogs.
I've NEVER known about it until Steve's mom showed me last years races promoted in the journal for this years events.

Smokey is very much an indoor dog, and totally spoiled. I mean, the little guy gets his own plate at dinner every night and a cupcake on his birthday! *it's insane! So we weren't too sure how he was going to be in a crowd of people.

Turns out....he's a GREAT * DOG. (we knew that deep down inside :)
The races were at 3. THe hottest part of the day!
All the little weiners were sooooo cute!
I want one to call my own, but for now I have Smokey!
He was so exhausted he fell asleep on the way home! So sweet!

It's been a great week with lots going on.
Scrapbooking, freelance work, and so much more.

Look at that adorbale and fierce pitcher! Anabelle has really improved this year. It has become traditions on Wednesday night to watch her and her team fight out other third and fourth graders on the ball field. I love when she throws strikes! This is one sport I was not into as a kid, but am having so much fun watching Anabelle experience it.

Steve and Chris have teamed up to teach the girls the fundamentals of softball. Anabelle loves having Steve around and so does this little guy....

He just can't wait to be on a team of his own!

means so many things.
Mostly it reminds me of Grandma and Grandpa Hunt. This was "their" place before they passed. They purchased the area in hopes that the family would keep the camping tradition at the ever-so-familiar campground. My dad came here when he was a kid. I came here when I was a kid, and now my nieces and nephew love it too!

Being up north is about relaxing. Some would call it boredom, but the truth is we don't do it enough.

We stayed up late playing cards. Made meals over the campfire. Played ladder ball, crossword puzzles, went swimming and rummaging.
I love the smell of "Up North."

I attended Anabelle's performance and awards ceremony this morning.
So great! Madelyn's is later this afternoon, so I don't have any pics of her stuff yet....

Anabelle took 2nd place in the jump contest, and her performance team took 1st out of 4 teams. She also got the spirit award of the week!

I spent another day at the lake today! Chaya gave us a call and took Steve and I, Chris, Angela and the kids all out on the boat nearly the entire day! Knee-boarding was fun. I tried wake-boarding for the first time. And got beat up nasty style during tubing. I'll be limping tomorrow I"m sure cuz my muscles will be aching! But it was totally* worth it!

Wanted to post a couple more layouts from this week. I am trying to stay true to my goal of scrappin' at least once a week. So far so good. Here's some layouts from last year:

Hope you had a great Fourth of July!
I know I did!

Morgie and Steve joined my familiy this year for the annual festivities!

First there's the Stonebank Parade.

My cousins and nieces and nephew are all in the parade year after year!

Afterwards is the StoneBank Corn-Roast.

And then we enjoy a day at the Lake at my aunt and uncles house.
The weather was beautiful, perfect! The food was great! We all had a great time!

Steve attempted to knee-board, but he couldn't get up. Here are him and I right before he crashes and burns! Maybe next time my love!

When the sun went down we watched fireworks from the boat, and then made s'mores over a bonfire.
I've missed the Fourth the past two years (being in Texas and in Italy). Being with everyone was awesome! The Fourth is one of my favorite holidays!

Okay so I totally forgot to tell you how stir crazy I was last Saturday.
I think because I have been stuck inside a lot, on my computer, doing not too many creative things.....
that when I woke up I was so excited.
I didn't know what I was excited about, but I totally wanted to paint.
So I dug up all my old painting supplies from college. Luckily I reorganized before the move and was able to find it all really quickly.
I went to the store and bought a large canvas....30x40!
There is this wall in my office/scraproom that is just dying for some bright colors. I've been saying since I moved in that I"m going to paint something for that wall.
Well, last week Saturday I set up shop and painting nearly the entire morning.
This is what I've got so far.
The background is done!
I love its vibrancy and hue.
I'm hoping it will inspire me in my office.
Hopefully sometime this weekend...maybe Sunday???? I will finish it.
I want to paint a word in black diagonally from the lower left corner to the upper right. I can't decide between "create" or "imagine."
I haven't truly taken the time to paint since college. I loved it. So relaxing to be outside, in the sun with some good music.

Leaving Today

I'm totally not ready to go home yet. This vacation has been great. It's so fun when the family is all together, the weather is warm and everyone is happy and relaxed. I have a lot of photos to share today.

Here are my favorites of Anabelle's 9 year old portraits. I take her photos every year. Except last year when I was in Texas I couldn't. Her birthday was June 3rd, but we wanted to wait to take her photos on the beach here. I love some of them. I think they turned out great and Angela is happy too.

In June is when they also take their family photo, so we did some of those too. It didn't last very long and I didn't get to take too many photos, we had to do it quickly. Carson says cheese, but doesn't always look at the camera. But this is the best one I think. Cute, huh?

This is one of good pictures of me and Steve on the beach. The bummer about always being the photographer is that no one knows how to use my camera, so it is hard to have someone else in the family take a decent picture. I need to teach someone I guess. (Or always bring Morgan along! :)

And I couldn't resist taking a couple pictures of the little guy. He was looking way too handsome and all grown up.

And one random one from the beach. All the guys were helping Carson make a huge hole in the sand.

Yesterday was Day 4

and a lot happened!
We all decided that we wanted a break from the beach and the sun. We were trying to think of something fun to do that we have never done before.

So we came up with this idea:

Let's go parasailing! No one had done it, not even Josie! Anabelle, Madelyn, and Josie strapped together first. Then Nicky and Angela went together. I just watched and photographed and hung out with Carson on the boat. He loved the water and the boat and the big waves! He was soooo good! He's always so curious about everything around him.

To make a long story short the parasailing was a lot of fun, but has some hilarious memories. See, it was our group plus one other small group of four on the boat. EVERYONE except me, Carson and the girls got sick. And I mean sick, like Angela and Nicky were both throwing up while they were up in the air, harnessed in! It was hilarious. Sorry....but it was! 2 other girls also threw up. Nicky and Anabelle were sea sick. Nearly the entire crew on the boat was sick from the huge waves! It was a crack up.

There was a pier and a nice photo area around the place. I love these shots.

Later last night we went to Dick's last Resort for dinner. A casual restaurant where they treat you badly and make fun of everyone. We went last time we were on vacation here and loved it. Adults only. Notice the hats! For adult eyes and reading only! It was a fun time!

When we got back to the hotel room we went night swimming and then hung out on the balcony for a while. This was the view.

I really haven't taken as many photos as I usually do. I guess secretly I'm trying to avoid making 10-12 layouts of the same trip when I get to scrapbooking it. Last time we came I could have made a Myrtle Beach album with all my photos there were so many. It's cooled off a little bit today, in the 80s and cloudy which is great because everyone is sunburn and needs a break from the sun. I think we have some fun things planned for the day. I'll keep you in touch!

More photos to share. Last night we went to a great Italian Restaurant and Barefoot Landing. It was great! We all were able to sit together at one table. . .
Other highlights of the evening included ice cream, the girls making their own teddy bears, the girls and Carson got henna tattoos, and there were fireworks at 10:15. Romantic and fun for everyone. So far so good. Another 95 degree day today. We all were in the water most of the day trying to stay away from the sun and cool off our sunburns!

The beach in all it's glory. This is the view from our room.

It's a perfect day today. 90 degrees, blue skies, and a strong wind that gives you a break from the heat. The ocean is the perfect temperature and it so refreshing. We spent the entire day at the beach. Here's the girls: Madelyn, Anabelle, and Josie. They are joined at the hip in everything that they do! It's so cute.

And here is the cutest little nephew I have, experiencing the ocean for the first time.

At first he was very cautious because he was scared when the water/waves pulled him back in. For the first half of the day he liked the shore just fine! Then later he came in with everyone! He did great! And he was so ecstatic! I wish I would have had my camera out in the water to capture the look of excitement on his face! It was unforgettable.
I know it's not the most flattering photo, but I'd thought Steve and I should say "hi!"

Myrtle Beach Here we Come!

Leaving for vacation tonight! Can't wait to get there. Pray for good weather and a great tan.
I will try to post some photos mid week if the hotel has free wi-fi.
It will be nice to get away from the flooding for a while, however I heard rain showers in Sunday forecast. Bummer.
But still....I can't wait to go on my first vacation with Steve. Plus a whole lot of other family too!

The Sweetest Thing!

I picked up my ceramic cupcake candy dish yesterday. I *obsessed* with it. It's so cute! It is approx. 5 inches high, by 3.5 inches wide.

I want to go back and make a series of them. A red cupcake, a purple, an orange, etc....so that someday in my kitchen I can have a candy set of cupcakes! Call me a nerd but it was totally worth it!

The Milwaukee area is being devastated right now by this non-stop rain. Not to mention nearly everyone's homes have flooded basements......including ours.
My mom and dad built this house nearly 15 years ago. Never once did our basement flood. Never.
Until this weekend. The entire carpet is saturated and my dad has been working non-stop, night and day for almost 3 days now trying to get it out, clean, buy a new pump, etc. It's crazy amazing what God can do.
These are some photos of the Milwaukee area. Because my parents live on a hill, there is no standing water on the street or near our house....but just driving around today you can see all the flooded and closed off streets, all the furniture sitting outside on the curb at homes with water damaged basements. It's horrible.
I pray this is not a sign of our summer to come.
Even worse, the forecast says more rain tonight and tomorrow which is bad news for many many people around here.

Next time I'll try to post some happy thoughts. But until then, there is 9 inches of rain and counting....

Celebrating Anabelle's Birthday

It was her day. She could chose what she wanted to do all day long.
She asked her best friend Gabby to spend the day celebrating with her and sleepover too!

First on the list was to get her very own library card. They spent the afternoon at the library.

Later, I met the family and we captured some 9-year old quick photographs before leaving for La Terraza. I am going to take her official 9-year-old portraits on the beach in on our family vacation later this month. Anabelle wanted to go and paint her own pottery. This place was SOOO cool! The inner art-nerd in me was totally excited when we walked in the door! Anabelle, Madelyn and Gabby convinced me to buy a piece and paint it. I just couldn't resist. I painted a super cute cupcake candy dish. Because I had to paint with special paints, I pick it up on Friday. The special paints allow for food to be put in the piece. So cool! Here we are all diligently working. I so want to go back to this place! There are some *super* cool gift ideas!

Lastly, we went out to dinner at Anabelle's favorite, P.F. Chang's. One word: Yummy. Apetizers, dinner, and dessert! It was great!

I'm glad Anabelle asked me to join them yesterday.

We will celebrate again with the entire family on Saturday! Can't wait!

Meanwhile, just finished my second go at the root canal. Another 3.5 hour stint. Not done yet. God "blessed" me with a large curvature canal! Yay! I'm so blessed. Needless to say, I will be going back to the dentist again soon!

Making time for creativity.
for color.
for inner relaxation.

For me, creativity has soooo many outlets: scrapbooking, drawing, painting, coloring, photographing, designing, wrapping, journaling, framing...it really is endless. Using those talents are really important to me. I feel so free when I'm drawing and designing. Creating scrapbooks is soooo relaxing because there are no rules. None. I think that's one reason I *love* it soo much.

I'm simultaneously working on several albums right now. 2 for clients, and then of course my personal albums. Client albums include Disney World vacation and a 50th Wedding Anniversary! It's so fun to work on different themed albums because sometimes I use product that I don't use much, plus I get the opportunity to tell someone else's story. It's so cool! Here are a few peeks at the Disney album I'm working on. (Remember you can click on the image to view it larger).

family time. Not too much going on this weekend besides that. The weather is finally starting to warm up, as is the humidity! Last night we went to Auntie Chaya's for a BBQ dinner. Just a small get-together with the kids so that we could spend some time visiting. The lake is always so beautiful at sunset. Uncle Mike to everyone out on a boat ride. It was Carson's very first boat ride! He loved it! And even willingly put on his life jacket.

Soon it will be warm enough to swim, water ski, tube and knee board. I have a feeling it's going to be a ***great summer!

Happy Memorial Day. Hope this post finds you enjoying some time with you family and also finding time to remember those soldiers fighting for our country!

Now I remember

why. I. Don't. like. going. to. the. dentist.

4 hours later I have an exposed nerve and an infected root in my molar.
I was doing really good until the anesthetics wore off and I could feel Dr. *** in my roots! Felt like he was inside my brain it was such a deep pain.
I remember hating all the sounds at the dentist. Clinks, clanks, motors, buzzing. How could I have forgotten?
Well, he finished 2 out of the 3 roots of my molar. Needless to say I have to go back in in 2 weeks so that he can finish.

Until then, at least for today, I am in MAJOR pain. My jaw and gums are trying to deal with the after effects of poking and prodding for 4 hours.

I have definitely learned my lesson. After 2 years away from regular dental check ups this is what happens! I ****will be going every 6 months from now on!

Until Wednesday I'm playing 'mom' to my 5 cousins while their parents are enjoying a very short vaca in New Orleans. So far so good.

We went to see this movie yesterday! I thought it was great! You should definitely see it....even if you don't have kids. It's probably a good idea to watch the first one in the series that came out last year though. Things will make much more sense if you do.

Update-Steve's team GATORS won the tournament on Saturday! A great day for softball and they lost only 1 game! They reclaimed the title!

A Beautiful Saturday

Wow!! It's gorgeous outside today! It's definitely, *finally, beginning to look like summer around here. Can I just say how much I love the smell of fresh cut grass!

No pictures today, but I just wanted to say hi. I've been really busy this week with freelance work. I'm so glad that I've been able to find some design jobs to keep me busy. If anyone out there ever needs or knows anyone that needs logos, brochures, packaging, ads, etc. you name anything! Please please please refer me! Here's the front of my revised business cards!

I'm currently working on redesigning my website: www.iamstephanie.com (currently its not active). I took it down last year after I landed my job at KI Memories. But now that I'm looking for freelance work, I want to get it up and running again so that people can view my portfolios. I'll post more about the new web site as it gets closer to launching. A lot of elements have to come together.

So, Steve is in a one-day softball tourney today. I think I'll be checking out some of the games. It's kinda a big deal cuz last year this team he is playing on won the entire thing! haha! I laugh at how seriously he takes his softball. Maybe I'll take some pictures if he lets me!

Dad got free tickets to the Brewer's Game on Monday night. Mom, Dad, Nicky and I went to the game together.
Great club seats!

I was cold outside so they had the roof closed thank goodness! We got subs from Cousins and a whole punch of peanuts!

The Brewers beat St. Louis, it was great to see them get a victory!

Here are the moms we celebrated yesterday on Mother's Day. . .

My mother! So supportive and understanding. She helps me get through anything and calms me when I'm stressed.

My Aunt Marcella. Mother of 5. Need I say more? She's a hero! A great example of hard work, dedication, kindness and love. She is so generous and always willing to give advice. Her and I are so close. I can talk to her about anything and would trust her with my life.

My sister Angela. Young mother of my 3 "little people" as I like to call them. She amazing me everyday with her patience and love. She's learned how to love from all three of these moms, as I will someday.

My Grandma, better known as Nana. Our families' rock. She carries us through it all. She loves all of us, all the grandchildren, and gives us everything we need! She is an *AMAZING mother, Nana and soooo much more.

And....I couldn't help but share with you this face!

He says my name now! Or pieces of it......he calls me "Naa-neee" like Steph-A-NIE! He's still shy with me and a little timid. But he's come a long way in a little more than a week. By the end of summer he'll be my best friend :)

Do you remember a while back that I was really inspired by this image?

Well I wanted to apply the photo/framing collage idea to my new bedroom and scraproom. Here's the bedroom.

Before moving, I had sent a paint swatch to my dad of pink for the bedroom. He's so awesome, he had is painted by the time I got home! I *love it! This is the only wall in the room with anything on it. It makes me really happy. I'm so smiley every-time I look at it!

They add a girlie and vintage touch that I just love!

And then there is the scrapbooking room. It is still a little unorganized, but I'm getting there. I did the same photo collage style in this room.

This wall is filled with art I've made (see the etching on the far left), photography I've taken, scrapbooking layouts and scraft projects. The mood boards I made back in Texas add a great touch for me to pin up inspiration and notes anytime I want. I'm going to paint the 2 clipboards so they stand out and then clip scrapbooking layouts to them. I just have to pick the colors to paint them! I really want them to pop!
Other details around the room I totally love are this clip and Heidi Swapp. stamp packaging.

And my vase full of ribbon! And in the background the scrapbooking card Steve made me for Valentines Day. So sweet!

Needless to say, I've put at least 50 holes in the walls! But it looks great, and is really inspiring me. At least for now!

I know I'm home when....

1. I can smell fresh cut grass
2. My sister asks me if she can wear one of my shirts
3. I hear the ice cream truck come around the street
4. I hear the wind chime outside on the deck
5. my mom asks me what time I'm going to be home

So many more things come to mind, these are only a few.
I know I was only gone for about a year and a half, but I haven't literally lived in this house since I was 18 (6 years ago.) I was a teenager then and everything was so dramatic and never good enough. I whined and complained about every little thing. So I thought I would take some time to appreciate this place.

Over the past year and a half Steve and I have realized how cool Milwaukee really is. How cool it is to survive a freezing cold winter with sledding, hot chocolate, forts and snowballs. All those memories we wouldn't have without Milwaukee. We have Summerfest here, the biggest music festival in the world. The Wisconsin Dells, the biggest waterpark in the world. All these things we take forgranted when we "get comfortable." We always think there is something better. And while there definitely might be, it is ***really important to remember our roots, our childhood memories, the people spent those times with.

I'm taking a break from unpacking all these boxes this afternoon....

I'm just about finished. But its a beautiful day, so I have to go enjoy it for at least 10 minutes!

If you've never been to Wisconsin. Here's a little tour of the front and back of a little spot in Southeaster Wisconsin, where I now like to call home.
The front yard. Most of the trees are still bare, but the grass is soft and plush and green! (not so crispy like Texas was!)

HOMECOMING

I only have a couple minutes to post. I just wanted to let everyone know that Steve and I arrived safely home. Here are a few photos I got of our huge truck, and the road trip. Steve lead, I followed, and the truck was last. It was hard to stay awake for nearly 19 hours of traveling, but as soon as I got home, I was awake and excited.

I am over my head in boxes to unpack and rooms to organize. I'll take pictures to share as soon as its in good enough condition.

It feels great to be home. I was awesome to finally see this sign:

24 hours and counting until we are on our way to Mil-Town. (Milwaukee)

We are so ready to get going.
Picked up our ginormo truck today! haha, they upgraded our truck for free because they didn't have the size we initially requested. OOOOooooh an upgrade for free, yeah right, less mileage and more gas.
We have such a big truck we could throw a party in the back! Funny stuff. I'll try to get a photo of it tomorrow while we are packing it up.

Same ol' same ol' around here: lots of packing, lots of cleaning.

I forgot to announce some AWESOME*** news. Last week Steve got a letter in the mail stating that he has officially been accepted into the nursing program in Milwaukee!!! AWESOME!!! (many of you would be surprised to hear we celebrated by having a hibachi dinner haha lol!) It's just great news. After all, that *is the main reason we have decided to move back home. So that he can get into nursing school and finish already. :) So we are totally happy about that. It's like the icing on the cake to or trip home.

Good morning!

So.....you know how everyone has his or her own "thing." Something that they are good at, or something their known for or whatever. ie. me and my big ol' hair.

Well I think, no actually I am quite positive that this is his "thing:"

He can sleep for hours, even days if I let him. haha. Serioulsy though! The boy sleeps forever, until noon most days now that he is off. And I have to find something that occupies me until then cuz I hate to wake him up. Knowing that his body is adjusting to not working 3rd shift anymore is understandable too, but not having cable or tv at all is really making him bored! He's like beside himself with nothing to do. He paces around the apartment, plays with a nurf ball we found when we were packing the other day, and fun stuff like that :). He's so excited to get home. He can't wait to play softball with his buddies, see his mom and dad, and play with this little guy (Smokey) .....

We are officially ready to move.

Today I'm getting a hair cut! How exciting is that!? The last time was Christmas. Crazy I know. I just hate going to the salon cuz I'm usually there for hours, and I can't afford to sit at the salon for hours if you know what I mean. So, I'm totally excited about having someone shampoo, cut and do me up! :) Maybe I'll get Steve to take a photo later. It will be nothing drastic, just my reg. 4" cut, but after I saw that lop sided hair photo the other day I realized I ***Had to do something about it!

Getting there

We accomplished a lot of packing over the weekend. However, there are still this many empty boxes, that could potentially still get packed.

I'm hoping we won't use them all up and that we'll have extras.
The apartment is pretty depressing right now. Everything is empty and stripped down, the walls are bare, the cupboards only have the essentials.

So, we recently cancelled the cable, and as a result Steve is bored out of his mind. I think he has watched half of our DVD collection. Steve finished work this weekend, and so is home now during the day and AWAKE :). We've hanging out and spending time together...without the TV we talk so much more :). Not having the tv really hasn't effected me too much (cuz I still have my computer to keep me occupied when I'm bored :), so we rented this movie last night.

I totally loved it. And the soundtrack was awesome too. The movie has a "wierd" element to it, that's how you know its been
nominated for some awards. You can read about it here.

Anyways, that's about all for now. Lots of cleaning, movies, softball games, etc.

Oh yeah, wanted to show you this:

Isn't it awesome?!! I bought it at a local stationary shop, Paper & Chocolate.. They carry lots of handmade papers and maps there....so I HAD to buy this. I don't have the cash to get it framed right away, but someday it will hang in my future house.

Playing today in Photoshop with some brushes and filters. Thought I'd share one of my favorites.
This is my cousin, Josie, or as I call her "my Pina (pee*nah)" -as in Josephina. (I totally spelled that wrong).
Isn't she beautiful!? I just know she's going to be gorgeous when we grows up. She lives in a house with a bunch of boys! She's grown up around football and sports, she has crazy thick hair, and is so carefree. She reminds me of myself when I was her age. I love that!

Not much else is going on around here except packing, packing and more packing.

I'm going to miss these girls

They have become my family this year in Texas, literally. They have helped me get around, recommended restaurants and activities, been there when I needed to talk, inspired me and soooooo much more. We got together for drinks/cocktails, dinner and dessert tonight! I didn't want to leave. I think we stayed after dessert for more than an hour just shooting the 'shit' at the table and gabbing! I miss them so much already and I haven't even moved!

then there's me with my lop-sided hair! Did I mention I need a hair CUT badly! It's so past due that it's hard to keep it up in a pony or a bun-this is your proof!

And last but definitely not least, my Kisha (another rock, with more advice than I know what to do with. She's a great person that I will probably also be friends with forever. She's been my scrap sister in Texas.)

I hope that I will keep in touch with all these girls. They have been so great to me. I owe them nothing but love! Thank you my loves for such a great and memorable year and a half, you all will be dearly missed! I will always remember all our Thursday lunches, the trade show memories, and so much more!

A rather random post for today.
First of all....
I CANNOT WAIT to see this little face in just a couple of weeks.

That's Carson. One of his 1 year photos I took last October. I can't wait to get to know him better. I feel like Anabelle and Madelyn are practically my own children, and then poor Carson barely even recognizes me. I can't wait to spend time with him, and become "Auntie Stephie" to him. The other day when I was chatting with my niece Madelyn on the phone she explained how Carson says his sisters names: "mimi" for Madelyn and "BaBelle" for Anabelle! I just can't wait to hear it. Last time I saw him he was only saying, "mama" and "lila!"

Packing some more today! Our apartment looks like this now!

The walls are starting to look bare. I begun taking down the photos and the shelves.

Last but not least, while packing up my scrapbook albums I've been able to look through some of them that I haven't looked at in a long time. A while ago I started my baby album. Its only 8.5x11 because my mom doesn't have too many photos. Here's one of the opening pages! Look at me, totally bald! How ironic considering now I have more hair than anyone I know!
